Alec Baldwin “Scared of Going Broke” And Back in NYC

Earlier this week, Alec Baldwin, 65, was spotted in Manhattan.

Baldwin, once known for his features in many big movies– such as “Beetlejuice”, “The Hunt for Red October, and more recently, “It’s Complicated”– is now mostly known for his involvement in a shooting incident on the set for the film “Rust.” In October of 2021, Baldwin discharged a prop gun, which turned out to be loaded, leading to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injury of director Joel Souza.

Last month, a grand jury in New Mexico indicted Baldwin for involuntary manslaughter. This came nine months after prosecutors dropped manslaughter charges against him.

Baldwin denies ever having pulled the trigger, however, the prosecution’s forensic analysis suggests that it was impossible for the gun to have discharged without him pulling the trigger. If convicted, he may face up to 18 months in prison.

A day after pleading not guilty, Baldwin was seen strolling the streets of Manhattan by himself, while his wife went on a coffee run with one of their eight children. Baldwin avoided making any eye contact with the camera and got into a car. He was seen looking exhausted in a gray, fleece-lined jacket, and was wearing eyeglasses which he does not tend to wear..

Sources claim that Alec Baldwin is facing financial challenges amid this case. He is said to have “already spent hundreds of thousands [of dollars]” on legal representation, and he recently listed his $19 million Hamptons home for sale.

Back in 2021, at the start of this legal battle, Baldwin claimed that his contract protected him from bearing financial responsibility for the death of Hutchins.

The “Rust” armorer, Hannah Gutierrez, was also charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter. Her trial is expected to begin February 22nd.

There is no further information regarding the timeline of Baldwin’s case.
