Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Has Selected Five NYU Faculty Members For Their Fellowship 

This year, five New York University (NYU) faculty members have been awarded fellowships by Alfred P. Sloan foundation. Alfred P. Sloan foundation is an American philanthropic nonprofit organization that awards fellowships to researchers in eight scientific and technical fields.  

This year, the faculty awarded were: Corina Boar—assistant professor of economics, Glen Hocky, and Tania Lupoli—assistant professors of chemistry, and Chao Li and Lerrel Pinto—assistant professors in NYU’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. According to NYU, these faculty members are “exceptional U.S. and Canadian researchers whose creativity, innovation, and research accomplishments make them stand out as the next generation of leaders.” 

The fellowship began in 1998, and since then, a total of 98 NYU faculty members have been selected for the fellowship. Due to their exceptional research, studies, and innovations, these five NYU faculty have been chosen alongside another 121 fellows. 

Over the course of the next two years, the fellows will receive $75,000 to continue their profound research. With this support, these scholars will have the opportunity to advance their groundbreaking work, further contributing to innovation and discovery in their respective fields.
